Despite challenges such as the affordability of medication, and reluctance to embrace preventive measures such as statins, we remain committed to empowering individuals to take charge of their health. By assessing waist circumference, fasting insulin levels, and HbA1c, we paint a more nuanced picture of metabolic health. Moving beyond glucose, we delved into inflammation markers like high-sensitivity CRP and homocystein. These indicators, along with ferritin levels, provide insights into internal inflammation and iron status, respectively. We were astounded by the prevalence of abnormal ferritin levels, sparking our interest in further exploring iron's role in overall health.




Our exploration extended to hormonal landscapes, including testosterone, thyroid, and vitamin D levels. Testosterone screening revealed surprising insights into the prevalence of low testosterone and its impact on energy levels and overall vitality. Meanwhile, thyroid and vitamin D screenings shed light on their roles as crucial hormones in maintaining optimal health.



Liver and kidney health emerged as vital areas of focus. Abnormal liver enzymes and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) underscored the importance of lifestyle modifications and early intervention, meanwhile, kidney screenings provided insights into renal function, ensuring optimal kidney health.



Cancer screenings, including prostate, cervical, and lung screenings, offered crucial opportunities for early detection and prevention. However, we noted a concerning trend of under-utilization, particularly in colorectal cancer screenings, which highlights the need for increased awareness and proactive health measures.



We delved into the realm of lifestyle modifications, recognizing the profound impact of diet and exercise on overall health. From dietary principles to pharmacological interventions like Ozempic, our approach emphasizes a holistic strategy aimed at long-term health and vitality.




Fitness assessments are integral for understanding our health journey and setting goals for improvement. In a recent podcast episode, we delved into various aspects of fitness assessments, shedding light on key metrics and their implications. Here's a breakdown of what we explored:





1. VO2 Max:

VO2 Max is a vital indicator of cardiovascular fitness, representing the maximum amount of oxygen a person can utilize during intense exercise. While we provide an estimated VO2 Max initially, it's crucial to note that it's not a substitute for a stress test. Typically, we conduct more accurate assessments like a Cooper test later in the program to gauge progress. For a more accurate assessment, we advocate for methods like DEXA scans, which provide detailed information into muscle mass, fat distribution, and overall body composition.
